Maker Studios is the YouTube network and production company responsible for creating Polaris. Maker Studios was founded in 2009 and is a subsidiary of The Walt Dinsey Company. The company was sold to the Walt Disney Company for $500 - $950 million on March 24, 2014.

Sub-networks[]

Currently Maker Studios has three sub-networks. These are: Maker Music, Polaris and MakerGen. Each of these networks specialise in particular content.

A sub-network designed to promote small or growing channels. Originally called RPM Network but is now called MakerGen. RPM Network was responsible for a large increase in Maker's overall views which continued with MakerGen.
